Horchata Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups of uncooked white rice

4 cinnamon sticks

1 12oz can of evaporated milk

1 12oz can of sweetened condensed milk

8 cups of water

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoon vanilla

Pitcher

strainer


Instructions

Wash and drain the rice.


Add the rice, cinnamon sticks and 4 cups of water in a bowl. Cover the bowl and put in the fridge overnight. (8 hours)


After the rice sits for 8 Hours, add the rice ,water and cinnamon sticks in the blender. Blend for about 5 minutes. Everything needs to be very smooth.


With your strainer, strain the mixture into a pitcher.

Add the Sweetened condesed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla, 4 additional cups of water and sugar to the mixture. Stir Well.


Chill, when your ready to serve you can add ice.


Enjoy !
